Butter and Cheese, does it get any better than this? This recipe is so easy it'll soon become your favourite go to!
What you need
1/2 cup of butter
8 fresh sage leaves
pinch of salt
parmesan cheese
toasted pecans for garnish (optional)
What to do
In a sauce pan over medium heat melt down your butter and continue to simmer until it turns a nice golden brown colour (approximately 10 to 12 minutes). Stir often to avoid burning. Once you have that golden colour throw in your sage leaves and cook for another 2 minutes to give that amazing aroma to your sauce. Remove from heat and drizzel over your favourite pasta (seen below with the butternut squash ravioli). Add desired amount of parmesan on top and serve.
If you're adding toasted pecans, preheat your oven to 400 celsius. Place pecan halves or pieces in the oven until you have a nice brown colour or approximately 4 minutes. Watch them because pecans can burn easily.
