How much fun are these for a BBQ, the cottage or just because! And what's even better is how good they taste, even better than a real slider.

What you Need:
Vanilla Cupcakes (any kind will do, use boxed cake mix and make your life easier)
Chocolate Brownies (again, any kind will do, I added chocolate chips to mine)
Buttercream frosting, divided into 3 parts and coloured green, red, and yellow
Sesame Seeds (optional)
Toothpicks (optional)

What to Do:
Begin by baking your cupcakes and brownies. If you are baking the cupcakes, try not to use cupcake paper, just grease your cupcake pan well instead. That way you don't get the ridges, which aren't usually present on hamburger buns. Next, using a round cutter the size of your cupcakes (approximately 2 inch), cut the brownies into circles.

Place your frosting in three icing bags. For the ketchup and mustard either use a small round tip or just cut a small piece off the end of your icing bag, and for the lettuce cut a larger amount off the icing bag or use an angled tip (e.g. 126 Wilton tip).

Cut your cupcakes in half horizontally and spread some green frosting on the bottom layer.

Place a brownie round on top of your "lettuce" and then, and here's the fun part, spread "ketchup" and "mustard" all over your "burger". You don't have to be neat here, in fact you want it to look like the condiments are spilling over the edge of your burger (like a real burger).

Brush a small amount of water on the top bun and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place the bun on your decorated burger patty and secure with a toothpick. Now enjoy your fabulous creation. These are as much fun to make as they are to eat, as you can see by my dad's expression!
